What Stella can do
- Modify itself entirely, or work on external projects like normal agents
- Background computer use
- Browser use (via extension)
- Office files — Word, Excel, PowerPoint, PDF, etc.
Ai features:
- Dictation: in-app or anywhere on your computer
- realtime voice. Talk to stella
- media generation (music, images, videos, 3d, etc)
Other features:
- Store: Share what you create. Get what others have created.
- Pets: animated pet on your screen
- Social: Add and Talk with friends and work together on making an app (experimental)
Optionally grab a Stella subscription for AI generation (image, video, etc.), text messaging, and voice. Not required for anything. it just means you don't have to set up api keys for each feature.

there is some limited free use (kimi k2.6 for now, later will be downgraded to deepseek v4 flash). but it won't support much use. I'm just one person.
notes: stella is experimental. provide me feedback anytime. But stella is yours, so just modify it yourself to your liking.
Claude code uses the cli (not sdk) so you do not encounter api usage.
Stella is not meant to be modified by other coding agents. you may encounter issues.
