Zed git panel and running npx convex dev

Maybe this is a very noob question, but I just wanted to check something. Today we started to use Convex for on of our internal meeting companion tools. Everything worked out great but there is one experience that is slightly annoying... The documentation states that beside the Frontend (vite) you run the backend with npx convex dev. This flushes the terminal with function updates and type check messages. All fine so far. It also continuously shows that files in the _generated folder appear and disappear from the git panel. I understood it is meant that the _generated folder is committed to the repository. The large chunks of files flashing like added or removed while running the dev command is really disturbing. Is this normal behavior or is there something to do about it... I don't have the feeling this is Zed IDE specific.
