general sentiment I got from ppl who tried to self-host at one point is: just pay for the cloud
when it comes to deploying the new version, aside from the steps for exporting and re-importing the data snapshot, you would also need to know what new environment variables are being added/updated to best configure it for maximum performance on a single machine since it's not immediately ready for horizontal scaling
I love the cloud too, but am EU-based so need to be GDPR-compliant...
oh too bad then
I have same case like you.. just give up on self hosted option.. they dont have priority for horizontal scaling as of now
So u mean just give up Convex EU-friendly in general for now?
I won't, I have to deliver this project
sorry, i take back
just use their cloud part, please do proper ball-park estimate on how much your use case would likely cost, our team will have to go back to supabase for now

Was looking to choose between @convex_dev and @supabase for building our merchants dashboard.
Am totally mindblown by the price we have to pay for @convex_dev's better DX.
For those who are building with @convex_dev with thousands of active users, is this accurate?
