- Provide context: What are you trying to achieve, what is the end-user interaction, what are you seeing? (full error message, command output, etc.)
- Use search.convex.dev to search Docs, Stack, and Discord all at once.
- Additionally, you can post your questions in the Convex Community's <#1228095053885476985> channel to receive a response from AI.
- Avoid tagging staff unless specifically instructed.

haha try termanating the terminal and upgrading your IDE
this happens to me in Cursor daily
especially when running convex dev concurrently with another command like vite dev. +1 kill the terminal
While it's more work, I tend to use separate terminal tabs if I need to run things simultaneously; e.g. one for
npm run dev for the main app, and another for npx convex dev. I never run into an issue with a process that can't be terminated.I'm using iTerm2 (separately from my IDE). Very odd, this is like the hardest to kill program I've ever run haha
