SongUp: An open source shared music queue for parties
I recently rewrote my project SongUp using Convex and I really loved the process. Queries and Mutations made a lot of the logic that goes into this kind of real-time music app a lot simpler than before when I was using Supabase.

Pretty cool. Should the song be playing or is that not available yet? Good work :]
Also, I think the hosting part is too hard, especially on mobile. If I create a room, I shouldn't have to go back and join it too.
Yeah songs do play 😂
Maybe you mean the fallback playlist. That is only meant for if no users add any songs then it won't be quiet so the fallback songs fill in. The player will start when a user adds the first song.
I mean yeah the host screen doesn't look good on mobile, it's not really designed for that though - The perfect usecase for SongUp would be to have a central screen that is playing the songs and everyone joining in using their mobile phones
Thanks for checking my project out!
nice idea man
add 10 bucks to the price of adding your own song, and now we can place a thing like that in bar 😄
