Sutraa: A New Era of Conscious Dating, where ancient wisdom meets modern matchmaking
Sutraa is a Vedic dating app built with Convex, designed to help people find deep, meaningful connections. It works by generating detailed compatibility reports based on the ancient principles of Vedic astrology, analyzing a user's precise birth chart (date, time, and location) to move beyond the superficiality of typical dating apps.
The system is built with a specialized .NET API for the high-precision astrological calculations, while all the user-facing features like real-time chat, profiles, and matching logic are handled by Convex.
The app just went live on the Google Play Store after about six months of development, and we recently implemented the AI Love Guru feature to give users personalized insights into their compatibility scores. The immediate roadmap includes launching on the Apple App Store and continuing to refine the astrological models with more data.
Convex was very helpful in making it happen. It's the right tool for this kind of project.
