Excited to share a project I've been working on called Vedic Perspective.
What is it?
Vedic Perspective offers a unique look at ancient Vedic interpretations based on your birth time. It's grounded in sources like the Vedas and Parashara Hora Shastra. The key idea is exploring the meaning ancient wisdom associated with your unique moment in space and time – not predicting the future or claiming scientific certainty.
Think of it less like fortune-telling and more like a mirror for self-reflection. It poses questions like:
What potential themes were you stepping into?
How might you approach challenges or timing?
It's designed to offer a different... well, perspective
, leaving it up to you to decide what resonates.
The Tech Stack (and why I'm sharing it here!):
Building this involved a few interesting pieces, and Convex plays a crucial role!
Planetary Calculations: These are computationally intensive, so they're handled by a dedicated .NET library in C#.
Interpretations: The calculated planetary positions are then fed to an AI model that has been trained on Vedic astrological texts to generate the interpretations.
Frontend: The user interface is built with Next.js.
Data & Backend: And powering the data layer, saving user info, interpretations, etc., is Convex! It's been handling the database interactions smoothly.
Why check it out?
Some might find genuine insight, others might just find it fun or thought-provoking. It's not selling superstition, just offering ancient interpretations as food for thought.
