I'm looking for the same thing. Has anyone figured out?
preloadQuery()
fetches data from your Convex deployment with an actual fetch. Loading state is represented by the promise it returns, hence the await. If there's an error it will throw an exception. There aren't really state concerns for the UI because this all runs prior to first client render.
