Convex Storage and Cost

Do you think I will be banned from this server because of my recent article on Dev.to about Convex Storage? I tried to be honest, and there is nothing wrong with Convex' pricing, it was just not the right fit (entirely) for my project.

And yeah we could have dropped that 8 hours to about 0 with the R2 component lol, but worth it to raise awareness on premature optimization. It's a killer.

as a background on convex storage, convex storage was, to be honest, designed so we could build it as easily and reliably as we could at the time. it was definitely not designed to be a market leader in cost efficiency (yet). so we totally understand, we sponsored the development of the r2 component, and we're happy when you're happy. if that means paying someone else and saving some money, all good with us!

R2 component is pretty good. takes absolutely no time to integrate it

I will definitely give R2 a try soon. Time is my most valuable treasure which I don't own nowadays.

Cloudflare is in the backlog anyway for reCaptcha (better than Google's imho), but not in MVP.

It is not fair to compare the $25 price of a Convex Pro plan with any cloud storage, as that $25 includes way more than just the file storage and bandwidth.
