.convex.cloud domain names getting blocked
hi everyone. we'll follow up with a report. we don't see any widespread issues, but one possibility that it looks like may be happening here is these abuse protection denylists might have blocked a few *.convex.cloud domains. this continues to be an... interesting process of wackamole we keep running into

Thanks a lot Jamie!
I'm assuming this means defining a custom domain on the prod deployment would help against this?
yes, we'll follow up with a series of recommendations, but the short version is: (a) everyone that's hit a certain level of project maturity should use custom domains (b) convex is strongly considering refusing to serve text/html content from
*.convex.cloud
on free accounts, b/c most of the time, it's a phishing attack using our file storage that's responsible for these issuesAlright got it!
why can't people just be cool?
lol
Agreed, behave people!!
haha
Why is only convex.site a public domain/suffix? Why is convex.cloud one too?

Seems very similar to what Theo experienced: https://youtu.be/vqdEepJekbw?si=Sa2srpcKIRS-RnLJ

convex.cloud is technically only supposed to be for our protocol. the file URLs are a bit of a "mistake" we made that we didn't completely think through when we rolled it out
But now that it is how it is would that be a solution?
