How does convex provide for multi region?

If we have core users across multiple continents, is Convex able to be configured to cache at edge near clients, or to optimise for certain geographies. With the request times from dev apps running in AUS, it seems like convex servers are running only in US (just a guess based on round trip ms)

this is correct. convex is architected for a future where we globally cache data at edges all over the world, but it's not built yet. might be a 2025 thing, but likely not in the next few months. currently everything home runs to us-east, and that does make access from like asia/australia less than ideal right now

that's ok we can live with it for now, as we are working on a beta, next year though we'd need more speed. Super keen to see things through with convex, been following since you guys spun up and its awesome to be using it in a proper application now, so we'll be sticking around, just this will be a blocker 12months from now
