dashboard log performance

Its gotten a bit more noticeable lately, well now unbearably slow on my laptop so and its specs are Xeon E-2186M with 32gb of ram with chrome. INP is consistently like 2000~ On my main linux desktop, INP is between 50-500ms but LCP is also 3s~, so i do get delays. But its a 9950x so probably 8x the speed of the laptop

It seems like the nearly 500 functions is what is doing it, as other projects are fast. And clearing logs doesn't really help, etc And, honestly I almost never filter the list 😅 - only search Yeah i got a 12 second INP trying to type searching, if i clear logs and type its 5 seconds.

Heya, thanks for the report. We’re aware of a couple performance issues on the logs page for high throughout apps like yours, and have some work planned to make improvements there. The experience there is suboptimal, and we’ll do better! I’ve left a note to notify you when that page’s performance is improved. Also, I’d highly recommend setting up a log stream integration like Axiom or Datadog for log persistence, custom querying, custom dashboards, and alerts. These integrations will also be receiving some enhancements in the near future A release went out today with some performance improvements! Let us know if it helps 🙂

Yep, it's a night and day difference. Some latency interacting with the functions drop-down but i rarely do that. I've only tried axiom but i think your logs design is better to work with, thanks for the update 🙂

Glad it's working better now! There's a significant change we have to make to make that dropdown more performant, but it's on our list now. Thanks for calling that out
