Gnoseek - AI-Powered Next Level Learning
Hey everyone! π I'm thrilled to present Gnoseek!
What a fantastic experience!
As a front-end developer, I've always believed in the power of backend/serverless services. Convex caught my attention, and I just had to put it to the test.
Spoiler alert: It exceeded my expectations! π
In an intense 7-day sprint (yes, 12-hour days included!), I managed to create it from scratch. Starting with just the Convex documentation, I built the architecture, designed the UI, and integrated Next.js, Clerk, LangChain, and OpenAI to bring this project to life.
Gnoseek is an AI-powered knowledge explorer. Here's what it can do:
- Generate comprehensive reports on any topic
- Provide keywords, flashcards, study flowcharts, and examples
- Save research in a personalized area
- Export results to PDF
- Support 28 different languages
- Display trends and latest research
- Allow combined searches across various sub-topics
- Show code snippets and real-world use cases for programming topics
- Offer a fully responsive UI/UX for all devices

The magic of Convex made it possible to build such a feature-rich app in record time. Its real-time capabilities allowed me to focus on creating an innovative learning tool without worrying about infrastructure. πͺ
Gnoseek is just getting started! π± The codebase has been written with scalability in mind, and thanks to Convex's incredible potential, future implementations could happen in just a few afternoons. We're talking about rapid development and deployment of new features that would typically take weeks or months!
Gnoseek isn't just an app; it's a step towards democratizing knowledge and enhancing the learning experience for everyone.
I'm excited about the potential of this app and can't wait to read your reactions.
Feel free to ask questions or check out the demo.

Thank you all for this incredible opportunity to showcase what's possible with Convex! ππ‘

really nice work on executing your idea
Thank you mate, waiting your project!
The choice of colours on the website is really soothing πͺ
I'm in love with that design great work bro
Thank you both, guys! It was challenging to find the right color palette and design the appropriate user interface, but I'm really satisfied with the result.
Wow, nice! what a beast of a app, very snappy as well ποΈ π
Thanks @Gustav!
Super interesting. Looks fantastic. Great UI/UX, easy to move through the ideas and see stuff.
The content itself is weak and problematic, as expected. How can that part be overcome?
For 7 days this is an absolutely amazing product, great job!
Thank you @Tim D.
A first possible solution to reduce the content βweaknessβ is the detailed context. For example, if you want to learn what a Compiler is, just donβt write βcompilersβ but something more detailed like: c++ compiler, what it is?
Out of scope for now β but maybe focusing on specific topic/space and training your LLM on that specifically of course.
Which makes sense as a more focused product.
Yeah, thatβs a good point for sure!
This is fantastic!
