constant epipe errors

not sure, but I've been seeing this all night when I save files. is this normal?

it shouldn't be. @lee @gautamg any reason we'd be having network issues tonight pushing code?

that's unexpected for sure. is it failing immediately after it starts "trying", or does it seem more like it's timing out after a while?
