Any ETA for the open source launch?
I've been working into moving my code base to Convex and with that, all my projects, the open source version will greatly benefit the development road map of my team, thank you guys/gals!

as chance would have it we actually just talked this week about dedicated internal staffing to the open source backend project. @james and @Indy might have an update. Can you talk a little more about how the open source version would be helpful to your team?
No clear timeline yet, but we plan on staffing this up soon!
As Jamie mentioned, it'd be super helpful to understand what you want to unlock with Open Source so we ensure we set the right goals (short and long term).
Happy to hear that you are working towards it. We work in highly interactive real-time apps for our clients, testing and staging is our concern as for us it requires a large amount of data being transfered to and from the database, so having access to it in a local environment will allow us to do that before going into production.
Thanks @FelipeJz, having insight into the use-cases helps us figure out whether there are more direct solutions to your problem. Am I understanding correctly that the intention is to still run the production instance on the Convex cloud but have an easier mechanism for getting large quantities of data into dev/preview instances?
Is this data a copy of what is in your production database, hence a situation where branching could help, or completely separate?
Would also be helpful to know what constitutes a "large amount" of data, either in GB or rows.
